Members of the SCCCW Rev. William F. Pentis Scholarship Selection Committee presented the $1,500 check to the 2016 winner, Elena Victoria Smith, a graduate of Nativity School in Charleston. She will attend the College of Charleston.

SCCCW 2016 Convention Project

Affiliates of the South Carolina Council of Catholic Women throughout the state donated $8,415 to Camp Rise Above.  Barbara Denton accepted the check at the SCCCW June 11th Board Meeting in Columbia, S.C.  Camp Rise Above is a unique non-profit organization that provides fun, life changing camp experiences to children with serious illnesses, life challenges, and disabilities.

The St. Clare Home will be a place for women experiencing a crisis pregnancy where they can care for their babies while receiving education for their journey to live independently.

SCCCW raised $6,395.50 for the women's chapel at the Graham Correctional Institution in Columbia

SCCCW President, Marlene Grover, presented a check in the amount of $6,395.50 in donations to Chaplain Kimberly Campbell and Erin Wagner of the Alston Wilkes Society.  The funds, collected from SCCCW Affiliates from across the state, will support the women's chapel at the Graham Correctional Institution in Columbia.

Memorial Scholarship

The SCCCW Reverend William F. Pentis Memorial Scholarship was established in 2009 to honor Father Pentis, an Oratorian Father, who served as Moderator for the SCCCW, providing spiritual support for more than 30 years.
